an electric boy and burning girl

I have done nothing
yet I am cornered
only to discover,
I am an electrical menace
from my finger tips,
I throw electric shock

alone again
then cornered once more
"just leave me alone!"
I shout, as the storm conducts
these 'heroes' tell me I'm wrong
"I never wanted this!"
I scream, as they raise their powers,
against mine.
"for the crimes you commit,
you are responsible"
they say
"then where were you?"
I ask, them closing,
tears rolling down my cheek,
as I raise my hands
hailing electric shock
"please..."

I run home
and I am no longer welcome
I flee from what I can
and hide from what I can't
"I didn't ask for this"
I tell myself.

alone again, for now
a metal building long forgotten,
I now call home
left alone by all
until one day...

a girl enters my building
so pretty, I'm so alone...
but I must be alone
"please, leave. I'm too dangerous..."
I tell her
"no more than me"
she replies
I begin electrical conduction to show her
and from her hands she ignites fire
our eyes widened to each other
as my shock and her fire died
"rejected"
I said
"scorned"
she said
"I ran"
I said
"I hid"
she said
"I was alone for so long..."
I said
"now we can be alone together"
she said holding my hand
I pulled her in,
we hugged,
we cried,
and thrived

alone with her,
the best alone I ever felt
we hid peacefully
for much time

alone with her
then,
the heroes found us
a couple sealed in love,
sympathy,
and the need to live
"I won't lose you"
I told her,
my shock conducting
"I can't lose you"
she told me,
her fire igniting

they attacked
we defended
my shock jolted
her fire blazed
but their might was too great
we ran as far as we could
"we never asked for this"
I said
"but they never cared"
she said

they chased us into the cities that despised us
cornered once more
by both heroes and citizens
"this world will never accept us"
she said
"I know"
I said
a loud bang occurred
and my shirt splattered with blood,
her blood
I held her as her life slipped from me
"no..."
I cried soft spoken
the tears rolling down
I looked up at the man who shot
and seeing me, lowered his gun
"please... kill me..."
I cried
I laid her down
and walked to him
putting my chest to his gun
"please..."
I cried
"let me see her again"
I said pushing his trigger finger
another bang
I looked at my chest
right before collapsing

in a white realm
I awoke
I saw a girl
I walked closer
it... it was her!
I ran to her
and her to me
colliding into a hug
"now we can be free forever"
I said
"I think you're right"
she smiled
